Years ago, you rarely heard of anyone being a homosexual, but there has been a coming out party and homosexuality is now aired freely through the news media and movies. However, there have been homosexuals throughout the course of history.  

Homosexuality is condemned in the old testament. "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: It Is abomination" (Leviticus 18:22). The word "sodomite" is used in the old testament to refer to homosexuals and is derived from the city of Sodom. "But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly" (Genesis 13:13). "There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel" (Deuteronomy 23:17).

The new testament reveals that homosexuality is sinful also. "For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet" (Romans 1:26-27). The passages above show that homosexuality is unnatural or against nature and also sinful. Homosexuality is not something that is inherited, but something that is learned.  

God created Adam and Eve and not Adam and Steve and they were created heterosexual and not homosexual. "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female create he them" (Genesis 1:27). Two males or two females could not populate the world as Adam and Eve were instructed to do. "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it:" (Genesis 1:28).  

God extends his love to all men and wants all to be saved. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). "Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:4).

One cannot continue in sin and expect to be saved, but must repent and turn away from sin. "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:3). "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God". According to the Bible those who stay in a homosexual relationship will be eternally lost.
